What We Collect & Why
Necessary business requires some data. This information is stored in systems we trust, and we keep it only as long as necessary to serve you.
- Payment Data: We do not handle or collect credit card information. Payments through platforms like PayPal or Stripe are handled directly by those secure, 3rd-party services. We only receive confirmation of payment, your name/business name, and the email address associated with your payment for invoicing purposes.
- Physical Addresses: We require your country and postal code for payment validation and tax (VAT) compliance. Any address you provide is stored in our transaction database solely to fulfill legal requirements for your invoices.
- Email & Forms:
- When you submit a form, your data is stored securely in our internal database.
- We use FluentCRM (self-hosted) to manage project on-boarding and our optional Studio Dispatch newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time; we value your inbox space.
- Transactional emails (e.g., account notifications, support replies) are routed through MailGun.
- Support inquiries are routed through Help Scout to ensure we provide you with fast, accurate technical assistance.
Usage, Tracking & Security
- Anonymous Usage Data: We prioritize your privacy. Any tracking is anonymous. We do not collect personal email or persistent user-level IP data unless you voluntarily provide it through a contact or support form.
- Spam Protection: Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which helps us maintain a secure, spam-free environment (a “Legitimate Interest” in protecting our studio operations).
- Embedded Content: Our site may include embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos). These external sites may employ their own tracking cookies if you interact with them, particularly if you are logged into their platforms.
- Studio Analytics: We use Matomo Analytics to understand how our site performs. This is self-hosted, privacy-first, and does not track you across the web. We have configured our analytics to not process any Personally Identifiable Information (PII). We use this data only to improve our digital craftsmanship, not to follow you around.
- Hosting: Our digital infrastructure is hosted by DigitalOcean.
